renal diets crf

My cat has chronic renal failure and has patches of hair missing, why?
My cat has CRF and is a large patch of hair was on the side head below the ear, the vet said he was probably scratching due to fleas (the first line did not work), but no longer scratching and just noticed a large patch of hair gone below the chin. I will contact my vet in the morning, but does anyone know why this would happen – does Vitamin deficiency? Also do you know of any liquid vitamins that help a crf cat? I'm giving the liquid vitamin B complex It is also azodyl, epakitin and sub-q fluids. Unfortunately I can not get to eat any food from the diet of the kidney. Thank you. I have not seen him scratching for a while and I think that what may chewing under his chin ….
Check the side effects and epakitin azodyl. Ensure that the Sub-Q fluids are sodium chloride and not Ringer lactate (Ringer calcium lactate is, in a CRF cat hypercacemia which can cause renal disease worsens (and vice versa). You can be allergic to fleas and a reaction to hair loss. Have you tried mushing renal diet food with warm water until a thick consistency? It is much easier for them to eat. I have kidney disease, or hypercalcemia cat (Sub-Q sodium chloride), which got rid of hypercalcemia, but also not eat the wet prescription k / d food. As she continued losing weight, and was not wanting the wet k / d, I decided to mix the dry k / dw / Innova (for my cats and others) and it actually has much more vim and vigor (vim?) and is enjoying life more. We can only best we can do when they have these diseases and it sounds like you are doing an excellent job. I would be interested know what the vet says tomorrow about hair loss. From my CRF cats have no problems with hair loss, I wonder what is happening with your cat wanted – thinking that it must be allergies.
